The job requirements for this position will vary greatly from company to company. A very basic, entry level position may only require a high school diploma or equivalent. However, some companies may require that their administrative assistants carry more training such as an associate's degree in office management. In some cases, an employer may be more interested in an applicant simply having the hard skills required to complete daily tasks. These hard skills might be attainable through individual training.
